Acton Gardens Releases Second Social Life Study
Throughout the regeneration of South Acton, Acton Gardens have commissioned research from Social Life and the University of Reading to explore how the programme is affecting residents and people in the area. The research explores the social impacts of regeneration to better understand local priorities and needs and to influence the planning, design and management of future phases.
The research findings are a snapshot of how residents are experiencing regeneration when the first phases of new housing have been developed at Acton Gardens and areas of existing housing at South Acton are still occupied.
The research took place between November 2017 and April2018 and the summary report can be read here.
Acton Gardens will repeat this assessment every two to three years to take practical lessons from the findings and measure the impact of the community development initiatives and engagement methods being evolved throughout the regeneration programme.
